Overview: Chitral is one of the mountain regions of Pakistan, lying in the extreme north. Its total area is 14800 km and 90% area is under mountains. The highest and most dense section of Hindu Kush lies within the borders of Chitral.

Appreciation: ‘Chitral is the most peaceful and scenic area of Pakistan’

CHITRAL: Chitral is the “most” peaceful and scenic area of Pakistan, having a rich culture and traditions, said Robin Raphel, USAID Country Director, on Saturday.

He was speaking at the quarter-final of the polo tournament of the Qaqlasht Festival, organised by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Corporation in collaboration with Chitral Association for Mountain Areas Tourism.
